Join Visit Albuquerque for Global Meetings Industry Day

Celebrate the power of the meetings industry during a special event on Civic Plaza featuring local food trucks, networking, and remarks from industry leaders!

Meetings matter to Albuquerque’s economy. Conferences, trade shows, conventions and other types of meetings have the power to generate millions of dollars in local spending and support thousands of jobs. Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) is an international day of advocacy showcasing the undeniable value that business meetings, trade shows, incentive travel, exhibitions, conferences and conventions bring to people, businesses and communities.

When: March 30, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Civic Plaza (1 Civic Plaza, Albuquerque, NM 87102)

Alisha Zierden, Executive Assistant

Alisha Zierden is the Executive Assistant at Visit Albuquerque. She works closely with President & CEO Tania Armenta and the Board of Directors to plan monthly Board meetings and Partner events. Alisha loves being involved in the community and getting to know all about Visit Albuquerque’s Partners. Alisha moved to Albuquerque in 2021 and has learned a lot about Albuquerque in that time. “Albuquerque is a hidden gem with so much to offer!” Alisha said. “I am most excited to see the developments in technology and the advancement of space exploration and tourism. I think this will become more and more of a spotlight for New Mexico as a whole and can’t wait to see all the advancements that ‘stem’ here.”
