For a family-friendly pumpkin patch experience, visit Big Jim Farms in Albuquerque. McCall's Farm in Moriarty just east of Albuquerque also has a pumpkin patch and corn maze. The Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival Balloon Festival Show takes place the first two weekends of October at Sandia Resort & Casino. Shop from dozens of talented artists and artisans. The ABQ Gem, Mineral & Jewelry Show brings 70 dealers of mineral specimens, slabs, jewelry, and more together on the first weekend of October.
Cultural & Heritage Festivals
Honor those who have passed on with Día de los Muertos in Old Town. This week-long celebration during the last week of October features a Catrina procession, the dance of the matachines, and ofrendas and altars throughout Old Town Plaza. Aki Matsuri is an autumnal Japanese festival in late September. The Albuquerque Grecian Festival happens on the first weekend of October and celebrates Greek culture.
