Overview

Vara Winery & Distillery is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico where Spain first introduced European (vinifera) wine grapes in 1629. We are within walking distance to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park, home to the most renowned balloon festival in the world.

A unique town country winery, the tasting room offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. Guests can enjoy wine in the tasting room or sit outside and sip wine while taking in the prestigious Sandia Mountains to the east and enjoying light snacks. Tours of the winery are available by appointment and the space can also be booked for private events.
