Ascend ABQ Applications Now Open

The Albuquerque International Sunport announced applications for the Class of 2024 Ascend ABQ Concession Program are now open. Ascend ABQ allows small businesses to purchase short-term, low-risk leasing options at the Sunport. The goal is to diversify the concessions available to travelers going through the airport while supporting local businesses. Go to this website for more information and to apply. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

ACE Your Team’s Customer Service Skills and Knowledge of Albuquerque

Visit Albuquerque’s Albuquerque Community Experience (ACE) training program is designed to brush up your employees’ customer service skills and strengthen their knowledge about the city. Graduates of the program can answer guests’ questions about things to do and places to visit. The program also provides training on topics such as first impressions, effective communication and handling conflict.

Turquoise Museum Highlighted in Magazine

The Turquoise Museum was highlighted in the Winter 2024 issue of InColor, the official publication of the International Colored Gemstone Association. The magazine’s front cover features a photo of the Museum’s exquisite turquoise chandelier, and a nine-page article in the issue includes an interview with Executive Director Jacob Lowry about the history of the museum and its mission. Los Poblanos Turns 90

Ninety years ago, Albert and Ruth Simms began operating Los Poblanos as an experimental farm, dairy, nursery and center for the arts and culture. The Rembe family has carried on that tradition, developing all areas of the business, including the boutique inn, artisan lavender product line, casual fine dining, event space, retail shop and cultural programming. Congratulations on the milestone anniversary!
