Albuquerque, NM
– El Pinto Foods announced today that the restaurant and manufacturing plant will be featured this Thursday night, February 11th at 7pm MST on The History Channel’s TV series, Food Tech. Hosted by Bobby Bognar, the episode is about Mexican food and El Pinto is one of the expert locations featured on the subject.

“I really love this episode of Food Tech and didn’t realize how much history could go into a jar of salsa. It’s amazing how a small restaurant could 3 generations later turn into a salsa empire. El Pinto was a perfect place for us to film for Food Tech, and we enjoyed their great southwestern hospitality,” said Bognar.

El Pinto will set up a chile demonstration and will have Dave DeWitt author of over 30 books and most recently “The Complete Chile Pepper Book” who is also part of the show along with El Pinto owners Jim and John Thomas, on hand to introduce the show. The demonstration will take place on Wednesday February 10th at 3pm at El Pinto Restaurant located at 10500 4th Street NW.

El Pinto Restaurant & Cantina, El Pinto’s Salsa and Green Chile Sauce are all a part of the El Pinto Family.  The world famous and award-winning chile and family recipes are served at the famous El Pinto Restaurant in Albuquerque’s north Valley, a fixture since 1962.
