“The 2023 America’s Best Cities rankings benchmark the overall performance of more than 110 metropolitan centers with populations of 500,000 or more, based on a wide variety of measures in order to identify the top 100 places to live, visit and invest in the U.S.,” said Resonance Consultancy President & CEO Chris Fair in a press release.
The list highlights Albuquerque’s natural beauty and calls attention to the city’s rich cultural heritage and one-of-a-kind culinary scene. The city also ranked highly within a few of the report’s subcategories, coming in at No. 15 for Shopping, No. 19 for Museums and No. 37 for Restaurants.

The Resonance study is lauded as the world's most thorough city ranking, based on original methodology that analyzes key statistics, user-generated reviews, social media and online activity.
The overall Best Cities rankings are determined by analyzing the performance of each city for a wide range of factors that have historically shown positive correlations with attracting employment, investment and/or visitors to cities. The rankings’ methodology evaluates each qualifying city across the six pillars of place equity: Place, Product, Programming, People, Prosperity and Promotion.
