USA Cycling 2024 Collegiate Road National Championships
May 3-5 at Balloon Fiesta Park
Check out some of the best college cyclists in the country as they ride through the city. An exciting way for fans to cheer on the athletes is during the criterium course at Balloon Fiesta Park on May 5. This event is taking place in conjunction with the Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival, so you’ll be able to enjoy two unique events at once on May 5!
2926’s 1st Anniversary Return to Tractor

Steam Locomotive 2926 will commemorate the anniversary of its first public journey by returning to Tractor Brewing. Experience a piece of history up close.
Albuquerque Turkish Festival

The Albuquerque Turkish Festival will feature samples of Turkish-Mediterranean cuisine, cultural exhibits, folk dances, art and more.
Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Festival
May 4 at The National Museum of Nuclear Science and History
Cultural performances and music, bright Japanese floral arrangements, Chinese art activities and more will be featured at this festival. The event is included with museum admission.

Bard Crawl
May 4, 7, 8, 11, 14, 15, 16, 19, 22 and 24 at Various Locations
This year’s Bard Crawl with Duke City Repertory Theatre will travel to 11 locations throughout the month of May. Watch the Shakespearean comedy “As You Like It” at a local venue.

Monthly at the Downtown Artwalk, Downtown Growers’ Market and Rail Yards Market
FollowEric is bringing back historic walking tours during the market season. Starting May 3, dive into the colorful world of downtown murals during the monthly Artwalk festivities. This free monthly tour showcases the diverse array of murals around downtown Albuquerque. The Century of Steam Rail Yards Tour starts May 5 at the Rail Yards Market. This free monthly tour highlights the architecture, stories and significance of the historic structures at the Rail Yards. The free, monthly Downtown Century Stroll begins May 11 at the Downtown Growers’ Market. You’ll explore some of Albuquerque’s architecture and history from the 1920s to now.
