Concert: Wishbone Ash

No other rock band has done more with the twin-guitar concept than Wishbone Ash. Their 40 year career has earned themselves quite the musical resume, with more than 30 albums and several DVD performances. This anniversary show will feature a live performance of their classic CD, "Argus," as well as a CD release party for their upcoming album, "Blue Horizon."

Stories in the Sky

Pack a lunch and head over to Stories in the Sky at the Balloon Museum. Each week, Curator of Education, Laurie Magovern, presents different stories and activities every week for children ages 0 to 6 and their parents. The day consists of songs, stories, movement and art.

Exhibition: Art and Artifacts

This gallery exhibition features the work of three gallery artists: Frank A. Marich, Chris Meyer and Marilu Tejero. Arts & Artifacts opens today and runs through May 28, 2014 at The Gallery ABQ. There is a reception on Friday, May 2nd that will feature a brief artist insights talk where mixed media artist Chris Meyer will share his inspiration and techniques.

Tingley Art Walk

It's a great night to be at Tingley Beach. From 4-7pm, Public Art will host walking tours of the art on display at Tingley and a handout of their brand new "Tingley Beach Public Art" brochure. They'll also unveil a new installation of a steel sculpture called 'Geese' by John Keyser. They'll be more info about the Blue Trees display and the opportunity to check out the entries into the Bee Hotel Contest, plus lots more. Make an evening of it!

New Mexico Chile (Bike) Tour

This is the ultimate chilehead experience. The New Mexico Chile Bike Tour is Albuquerque's first signature bicycle experience that takes guests onto the streets of Albuquerque to explore the flavorful red and green chiles for which New Mexico is famous. Don't worry, there will be plenty to eat with your pedaling.

Annual Spring Orchid Show

This event runs the whole weekend (May 2-4) but it's always fun to enjoy some Sunday flowers. On Friday night, there will be a reception and dinner at the Shark Reef Cafe featuring Carol Siegel, who will be speaking on the topic of "Orchidelirium." On Saturday and Sunday, come to the gardens to enjoy an orchid show judged by the American Orchid Society. Coupled with photo contests, orchid-themed art & photography contests and orchids for purchase - this is one not to miss.
