Graduates of the program can answer guests’ questions about things to do and places to visit. The program also provides training on topics such as first impressions, effective communication and handling conflict. Graduates will receive a commemorative lapel pin and a certificate recognizing their completion of the program.

The Indian Pueblo Entrepreneur Complex at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is now open. The IPEC’s commercial kitchen will focus on supporting those in the state’s food and agriculture industries. The kitchen has a 7,500 square foot workspace with cold storage, a test kitchen, high volume fresh produce processing and production areas. There are also general business services for both Native and local entrepreneurs.
The Albuquerque Little Theatre is celebrating its 95th season. It kicked off on Aug. 30 with the hit rock opera “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Congratulations!

The social media spotlight highlights a business who is using social media in a creative way to give you inspiration for new posts. Canteen Brewhouse stays up to date on trends and opportunities such as “National Dog Day” on Aug. 26. The City of Albuquerque’s Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency and the Albuquerque Police Department have partnered to create the Community Connect Downtown Security Camera program. This program provides funding to Downtown properties to purchase security cameras and connect them to APD’s Real Time Crime Center. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the funds are depleted. For requirements and the application process, see the City’s website.

Do you love Albuquerque and sharing the good news of the community with others? Visit Albuquerque is seeking individuals to volunteer at its two visitor centers located in historic Old Town Albuquerque and the Sunport. Volunteers will work 3.5-hour shifts once a week or on weekends. This commitment requires customer service training and knowledge of Albuquerque and the state of New Mexico. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to volunteer at sporting events and conferences. Being an ambassador for your city and state is a fun and exciting experience that will allow you to meet people visiting from around the world!
