Visit Albuquerque’s Public Relations team works to stay on top of emerging travel trends, and is constantly in touch with travel writers, editors and freelancers to keep Albuquerque and our Partners top-of-mind with editorial decision-makers. This month, we are focused on pitching Albuquerque’s eco-friendly and sustainable offerings and practices. As travelers become more aware of environmental issues, sustainability initiatives and conservation activities are growing in importance in the trip decision-making process, especially for young Millennials and Gen Z. However, tourism operators must go beyond simple changes and launch impactful programs, such as exploring solar power or zero-waste offerings, to capture today’s informed consumers.
