ACE Your Team’s Customer Service Skills and Knowledge of Albuquerque

Visit Albuquerque’s Albuquerque Community Experience (ACE) training program is designed to brush up your employees’ customer service skills and strengthen their knowledge about the city. Graduates of the program can answer guests’ questions about things to do and places to visit. The program also provides training on topics such as first impressions, effective communication and handling conflict. Graduates will receive a commemorative lapel pin and a certificate recognizing their completion of the program.

ALBUQUERQUE ISOTOPES OFFERS DISCOUNTED TICKETS FOR HOME RUN DERBY X TO VISIT ALBUQUERQUE PARTNERS

Major League Baseball’s Home Run Derby X is coming to Isotopes Park on Friday, Aug. 23. The Albuquerque Isotopes are offering discounted tickets to Visit Albuquerque’s Partners. The special rates are $21 for seats in the home run zone and $14 for field-level seats (regularly $30 and $20, respectively). To receive the special discounted rates, purchase tickets through this promotional link, where you’ll be asked to sign in to your Ticketmaster account or create a new account.

Albuquerque is one of only four cities to host a Home Run Derby X event this year. It will feature four teams, each with three hitters – an MLB legend, a softball superstar and a local hero. Each hitter gets 2-1/2 minutes to hit as many home runs as possible, earning bonus points for hitting home runs through a centerfield target. Manny Ramirez Mariachis jerseys will be handed out to the first 3,000 adults through the gate, and there will be a post-game fireworks show.

516 Arts named April Chalay the new executive director. She has been serving as the interim executive director since October when 516 Arts transitioned leadership from its founder Suzanne Sbarge.

Albuquerque Little Theatre Names New Executive Director

Rob Martin was appointed as the new executive director of Albuquerque Little Theatre. Martin took over July 1 from former executive director Henry Avery.

Become a Visit Albuquerque Volunteer

Do you love Albuquerque and sharing the good news of the community with others? Visit Albuquerque is seeking individuals to volunteer at its two visitor centers located in Historic Old Town Albuquerque and the Sunport. Volunteers will work 3.5-hour shifts once a week or on weekends. This is a commitment which requires customer service training and knowledge of Albuquerque and the state of New Mexico. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to volunteer at sporting events and conferences. Being an ambassador for your city and state is a fun and exciting experience that will allow you to meet people visiting from around the world!
