Creators Gage Fernandez and Madison Ortega grew up wandering Taos’ montes together, messing with tourists, traversing mesas, and filling sketchbooks.

They envisioned a way of sharing their stories, blending the mystical and the all too real experiences of life in a rural community rooted in history, nature, and shaped by a tapestry of perspectives. Many seasons were spent collecting and curating the contents of this book. The result is a guidebook for the newly arrived adventurer and the seasoned local.
