Visit Albuquerque Releases New Official Albuquerque Visitors Guide

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – (Jan. 20, 2023) – Visit Albuquerque has released the 2023 edition of its Official Albuquerque Visitors Guide. The full-color, 84-page guide is designed to inspire travelers to visit Albuquerque by providing ideas about where to eat, shop, spend the day, and enjoy all that the city has to offer.

The publication is packed with one-of-a-kind experiences, events and photos of the Albuquerque area. It includes features on the city’s centuries of history, renowned culinary options, plentiful outdoor opportunities, vibrant art scene, fun family activities and authentic cultural experiences. The eye-catching cover depicts Visit Albuquerque’s hot air balloon – “Red or Green?” – set against the majestic backdrop of the Sandia Mountains.
Included in the guide is a “Top Things to Do” section for visitors who are looking for Albuquerque’s most quintessential experiences. Readers will also find pages dedicated to the city’s distinct neighborhoods and entertainment districts, as well as business listings and city information.
A quantity of 200,000 guides will be distributed via mail and through local businesses and lodging establishments, as well as from Visit Albuquerque’s Visitor Information Centers in Old Town and at the Sunport. In addition, the guides are distributed at state-operated visitors centers along I-40 in New Mexico.
The guide is provided to meeting, convention and event attendees as well as to visiting media, supplementing Visit Albuquerque’s extensive advertising, marketing and public relations campaigns. It also serves as a resource for the organization’s sales and marketing staff when attending trade shows or industry events across the country.
The Visitors Guide is instrumental in directing travel to Albuquerque. In a 2021 survey conducted by Destination Analysts, Inc., 44.9% of respondents said their reason for ordering a guide was to plan and book a vacation to the destination. The survey also identified that visitors on incremental trips who had not fully made up their mind to travel to a specific location stated that the Visitors Guide influenced their decision to ultimately visit the destination. In 2022, residents of San Antonio, El Paso, Houston, and Tucson made the greatest number of requests for the guide.
