Visit Albuquerque Releases 2026 Valentine’s Day Gift Guide
Guide encourages residents and visitors to support Albuquerque’s small businesses ahead of Valentine’s Day
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – (Feb. 6, 2026) – Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Visit Albuquerque, the city’s official destination marketing organization (DMO), has released its 2026 Valentine’s Day Gift Guide, showcasing locally made, one-of-a-kind gift ideas and encouraging shoppers to support Albuquerque’s small businesses.
From handcrafted jewelry and artisanal chocolates to fragrant candles and unexpected specialty items, the guide highlights a curated selection of Visit Albuquerque Partners and other local businesses offering meaningful alternatives to big-box gifts.
“Look no further than one of Albuquerque’s incredible local businesses to find the perfect gift for your loved ones,” said Tania Armenta, President & CEO of Visit Albuquerque. “Our 2026 Valentine's Day Gift Guide makes it easy to find unique, locally sourced gifts and encourages everyone to support the community by shopping local.”
The guide features gift inspiration across four categories:
- Something Sweet – including locally made chocolates, baked goods and confections
- Something Fragrant – such as candles, soaps and perfumes crafted by local makers
- Something that Sparkles – featuring jewelry and accessories from Albuquerque artisans
- Something Different – highlighting creative, unexpected gifts found only in Albuquerque
According to the City of Albuquerque, the city is home to more than 40,000 small businesses, and for every $100 spent at a local business, approximately $68 will stay in the community.
“When people shop locally, they’re doing more than buying a gift. They’re investing in Albuquerque’s neighborhoods, supporting local jobs and strengthening our economy,” said Armenta.
