The 2026 Visit Albuquerque Visitors Guide with the cover flipped open.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – (Jan. 27, 2026) – Visit Albuquerque has released the 2026 Official Albuquerque Visitors Guide, a full-color, 92-page guide designed to inspire travel to Albuquerque and help visitors and locals explore all that the city has to offer. This year’s guide features a special section on the Route 66 centennial, providing timely information and inspiration for travelers planning to experience the historic Mother Road in Albuquerque.

The guide offers ideas on where to eat, shop, explore and experience the city, including a seven-page spread dedicated to Route 66. Content includes an overview of neighborhoods along the route, highlights of Albuquerque’s iconic neon signs, and an in-depth look at the 18 murals, sculptures and augmented reality experiences that are part of the City’s Route 66 Remixed project.

“We are excited to release the new Official Albuquerque Visitors Guide as we prepare to welcome travelers for the Route 66 centennial,” said Tania Armenta, President & CEO of Visit Albuquerque. “Whether it’s a first visit or a return trip, the guide helps travelers discover new experiences across Albuquerque, while also encouraging locals to reconnect with the places, stories and experiences that make our city special.”

The eye-catching cover features classic cars in front of the 66 Diner along Central Avenue, paying tribute to Albuquerque’s Route 66 legacy. Inside, readers will find one-of-a-kind experiences, signature events, striking photography and features on the city’s culinary and arts scenes, along with stories detailing Albuquerque’s centuries-long history. The guide also includes business listings and general visitor information.

“The Visitors Guide tells Albuquerque’s story in a way that helps shape how people experience the city,” said Ceela McElveny, Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Visit Albuquerque. “From culture and cuisine to history and creativity, it gives travelers a clear sense of what makes Albuquerque unlike anywhere else.”

A total of 150,000 guides will be distributed via mail and through local businesses, lodging establishments and Visit Albuquerque’s Visitor Information Centers in Old Town and at the Sunport. Guides will also be available at state-operated visitor centers along Interstate 40 throughout New Mexico. The publication is shared with meeting, convention and event attendees, visiting media, and is used by Visit Albuquerque’s sales and marketing teams at trade shows and industry events nationwide.

Visitors can plan their trip by requesting a free Visitors Guide or viewing the interactive digital version at VisitABQ.org. Locally, guides can be picked up at the Visitor Information Center in Old Town at 522 Romero Road or at the Sunport (near baggage claim), as well as at many businesses throughout the city.
