Visit Albuquerque Announces Launch of Albuquerque Wine Trail Pass

Pass will reward visitors and locals who explore wineries in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – (June 10, 2025) – Visit Albuquerque, the city’s official destination marketing organization (DMO), has launched the Albuquerque Wine Trail pass — a free, mobile-exclusive digital pass designed to encourage both visitors and locals to explore the city’s thriving wine scene.

The pass features an initial lineup of eight local wineries and wine bars, with additional locations being continually added, and rewards users for visiting multiple locations. As participants check in at more wineries, they become eligible to win prizes. Several participating wineries also offer discounts to passholders.

“We are excited to launch the Albuquerque Wine Trail pass,” said Tania Armenta, President and CEO of Visit Albuquerque. “New Mexico’s wine industry will celebrate its 400th anniversary in 2029, and this pass is a great way to spotlight some of the incredible wineries that are continuing this rich legacy.”

Prizes are awarded based on the number of winery check-ins that occur within one year of downloading the pass:

  • Four check-ins: Albuquerque Wine Trail silicone bottle stopper
  • Seven check-ins: Bottle stopper and an Albuquerque Wine Trail wine tote bag

Prizes can be picked up during regular business hours (Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) at the Visit Albuquerque Old Town Visitor Information Center, located at 522 Romero St. NW. Out-of-town visitors can have their prizes shipped to them.

To participate, users simply download the pass at VisitABQ.org/Wine-Pass and check in at participating wineries using GPS at the winery entrance. Discounts can be redeemed by showing the digital coupon to a bartender at participating locations.

Initial participating wineries include:

  • Casa Rondeña Winery
  • D.H. Lescombes Winery & Bistro
  • Gruet Winery & Tasting Room
  • Little Bear Coffee & Wine Bar – Nob Hill
  • Noisy Water Winery
  • Sheehan Winery Tasting Room in Old Town
  • VARA Winery and Distillery
  • Wine Studio by Viva Vino

Passholders can check in at a maximum of two winery locations per 24-hour period and are reminded to drink responsibly and plan ahead for a safe ride.

Those looking to explore Albuquerque’s craft beer scene are encouraged to download Visit Albuquerque’s Craft Beer Trail pass at VisitABQ.org/BeerPass.
