LOS POBLANOS GIN AND DISTILLERY RECEIVE NATIONAL ATTENTION
ALBUQUERQUE - MAY 3, 2023 – Los Poblanos Botanical Spirits have been nominated in USA Today’s 2023 10Best Readers' Choice travel awards. Selected by a panel of experts, Los Poblanos Gin is a contender for Best Craft Gin, alongside established national brands. Voting is open until May 15 at https://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-craft-gin-2023/. Individuals can vote once a day for the run of the contest to see a New Mexico brand take a national stage.
Los Poblanos’ new western-style gins move the familiar juniper notes into the background and an array of regional botanicals come forward to express the unique terroir of Los Poblanos. The Western Dry Gin combines sixteen botanicals that express the spirit of the Rio Grande Valley and thrive on Los Poblanos’ small organic farm and historic gardens including rose, hawthorn, chamomile and piñon resin. The Lavender Gin is distilled with lavender cultivars of Royal Velvet, Provence, Munstead and Buena Vista to express the floral complexity in Los Poblanos’ signature botanical.
Town and Ranch, Los Poblanos’ downtown gin distillery, tasting room and retail location was recognized by the New York Times Style Magazine’s T-List, as a destination for craft cocktails, New Mexico spirits, beer and wine, Los Poblanos Lavender, Farm Foods and elevated pantry items.
When Los Poblanos moved lavender product production to the historic 1940s Heaston’s Town and Ranch Tractor Supplies building, it was a natural fit to move goods straight from production to the shelves. Historic preservation and adaptive reuse are built into Los Poblanos' mission, and this is project is a compelling example of revitalization in downtown Albuquerque including a replica of the original neon signage from the 1940s. The name Town and Ranch is a nod to the original building and celebrates the connection between this urban satellite and the original Los Poblanos Ranch in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. https://lospoblanos.com/shop/town-and-ranch
