Albuquerque to Host 2028 National Tour Association Travel Exchange

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – (Nov. 21, 2024) – Albuquerque will host the 2028 National Tour Association (NTA) Travel Exchange trade show, the association announced Monday. As the association’s signature event, Travel Exchange will bring approximately 600-700 travel professionals to Albuquerque from Nov. 8-15, 2028.

NTA Executive Vice President Dawn Pettus made the site-selection announcement during the 2024 Travel Exchange, held Nov. 17-20 in Huntsville, Alabama.

"We’re looking forward to providing the NTA community with a fulfilling experience in Albuquerque,” said NTA President Catherine Prather. “The destination has so much to offer, from dark skies with stars and open skies with balloons to the Route 66 heritage and a rich Indigenous culture.”

“We are honored to be selected as the host city for the 2028 NTA Travel Exchange, and we look forward to showcasing all that Albuquerque has to offer – from our rich cultural heritage and vibrant arts scene to our stunning landscapes and one-of-a-kind cuisine – to these travel professionals,” said Tania Armenta, President & CEO of Visit Albuquerque. “Serving as the host for this prestigious event is a tremendous opportunity to further establish Albuquerque as a premier destination for group travelers, and we are excited to welcome tourism professionals from around the world to experience the unique charm and hospitality for which our community is known."

“We are thrilled to welcome the National Tour Association’s (NTA) Travel Exchange to the Land of Enchantment in 2028,” said Acting New Mexico Tourism Department Secretary Lancing Adams. “As a hub of connectivity and an anchor for New Mexico’s tourism ecosystem, Albuquerque is the ideal destination to host a world-class convention for travel trade professionals. This announcement comes at a moment in which we are actively rebuilding a statewide travel trade program in service to communities throughout New Mexico. We can’t wait to showcase the splendor and enchantment of New Mexico to travel trade professionals from around the country (and the world) in 2028.”

Albuquerque joins an impressive lineup of cities hosting NTA Travel Exchange in the years ahead:
