Albuquerque to Host 2026 PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference
Meeting will bring hundreds of travel public relations professionals and top-tier travel media to the city next June
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – (June 13, 2025) – Albuquerque has been selected to host the 2026 PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference from June 7-10, 2026, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) announced last week. Delegates will gather at Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town to enjoy four days of immersive programming, professional development sessions, networking opportunities and media engagement events.
“As a vibrant crossroads of culture, cuisine and creativity, Albuquerque is the perfect place for this prestigious conference,” said Tania Armenta, President & CEO of Visit Albuquerque. “We can’t wait to share our city’s rich heritage and innovative spirit with PRSA members next June.”
The 2026 PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference is expected to draw approximately 400 attendees and generate over $450,000 in estimated direct spending, delivering a meaningful boost to the local economy while supporting the city’s tourism and hospitality industry.
“We attend this conference annually and are honored to be selected as the host location for this important gathering of travel media and public relations professionals,” Armenta added. “Beyond the educational value for attendees, the conference brings significant economic benefits that ripple throughout our community.”
Visit Albuquerque officially revealed the city as the 2026 host during the 2025 PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference, held June 2–5 in Tampa, Florida. Attendees sampled cuisine inspired by the flavors of New Mexico, posed in a replica of Visit Albuquerque’s “Red or Green?” hot air balloon and enjoyed a custom Route 66–themed photo booth. The unveiling kicked off with Visit Albuquerque’s Anthem video, which incorporates Albuquerque’s Inaugural Poet Laureate Hakim Bellamy, immediately followed by a live recitation of Bellamy’s “Love Letter to Albuquerque” poem.
“Bringing a taste of Albuquerque to Tampa was just the beginning,” said Brenna Moore, Director of Communications & Public Relations for Visit Albuquerque. “From our iconic red and green chile to our storied stretch of Route 66, we wanted every moment of the unveiling to reflect the warmth and wonder of our city.”
Presented by the PRSA Travel & Tourism Section — a dynamic community of over 500 public relations professionals from tourism boards, hospitality brands, agencies, transportation sectors, attractions, and more — this annual conference delivers cutting-edge education, hands-on workshops, media panels and fresh perspectives on trends shaping the global travel landscape.
Registration is expected to open in early 2026. Visit PRSA’s Travel & Tourism Section website to stay informed on programming, accommodations, sponsorship opportunities and more.
