Albuquerque Set to Welcome the 2023 USATF Indoor Championships

Tickets now on sale for this world-class championship event 

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – (Feb. 6, 2023) – Albuquerque will welcome some of the world’s top track and field athletes to the 2023 USATF Indoor Championships, Feb. 16-18 at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The event is estimated to bring more than $500,000 in direct spend and over 350 elite athletes to the city. “Albuquerque is honored to see this prestigious sporting event return to our city,” said Tania Armenta, President & CEO of Visit Albuquerque. “Our more than 310 days of sunshine, high altitude and state-of-the-art facilities, including our indoor track, make Albuquerque the ideal location for an event of this caliber. For spectators, the three-day competition is an opportunity to watch the country’s best track and field athletes vie for national titles in events from 60 to 3,000 meters, all field events, and 3,000-meter race walks. When Albuquerque last hosted the USATF Indoor Championships in 2020, the second-farthest indoor throw was set in the men’s shot put, and the first U.S. woman to win five straight indoor national titles outright in the high jump was crowned. As the premier event of the indoor season, the USATF Indoor Championships will be televised nationally on NBC from 2-4 p.m. MST on Saturday, Feb. 18.
