River of Lights

River of Lights is a spectacular holiday light display at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden. Attendees walk through and experience over 800 light displays and sculptures. River of Lights began in 1997, and has since grown into one of the state's largest holiday light shows with over 120,000 people experiencing it each year. It serves as a fundraiser for the ABQ BioPark.

River of Lights Dates & Hours

River of Lights runs from Nov. 29-Dec. 30, 2025 from 5-10 p.m. There are two low sensory nights on Dec. 1 and Jan. 2.

River of Lights Tickets & Prices

General admission is $21 for adults 13+ and $12 for youth 3-12. On certain value nights, tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth. Children 2 and under are free. There are add-ons that cost extra, including an elf workshop and a special collector pin. Tickets are timed, so be sure to arrive during your time slot.

What to Expect

  • There is a free Park & Ride at the ABQ BioPark Zoo.
  • To avoid crowds, visit River of Lights in early December or on weeknights.
  • Paths are ADA-accessible, but parts may be uneven. Assistance may be needed in certain areas.
  • Most people arrive at the top of the hour for their time slot. Wait 20 minutes to arrive for shorter lines.
