Comedy: Bob Saget
Bob Saget has starred in many successful television shows, including two of the most family-friendly shows ("Full House" and "Americas Funniest Home Videos") but he’s also an out of his mind standup comedian for over thirty years. From his 2014 Grammy-nominated stand-up special, “That’s What I’m Talkin’ About” to his scene-stealing cameos in "Entourage," and "The Aristocrats," it’s always effective as Saget embraces his dark side. In January 2016, Bob completed a 9-week run on Broadway as Pastor Greg in the Tony-nominated play, Hand To God, and his first book, Dirty Daddy, is a New York Times Best Seller with Vanity Fair calling it, “Hilarious and at times heartbreaking.” Bob can be seen in the hit Netflix series, Fuller House, and he directed and stars in the independent film, Benjamin. Bob is host of the new CMT TV series, Nashville Squares, and in 2020, he will host, write and Executive Produce the new ABC series, Videos After Dark, featuring home videos with an edgier twist. His new hour stand-up special, Zero To Sixty, is streaming on many platforms. Bob continues touring his standup across North America. This show is intended for mature audiences and will contain explicit language which may be offensive to some guests.
NM Jazz Latino Orchestra
In their fourth performance at the NHCC, the New Mexico Jazz Latino Orchestra will again present a two-part show featuring an opening set of straight-up Latin jazz and a second set fusing the folkloric rhythms of Colombia with jazz elements and showcasing the versatility of the group’s musicians. The 13-piece ensemble seeks to showcase the great musical talents of artists who are now New Mexico residents, while bringing in international guest artists to introduce audiences to traditional instrumentation and rhythms from Latin America and demonstrate how jazz fusion can provide a harmonious and exciting blend of ancestral and contemporary tones.
