The mission of the African American Performing Arts Center and Exhibit Hall is to preserve, nurture and support the intellectual and cultural history of African Americans in New Mexico and the Southwest.

Our goal is to promote visual and performing arts that support African American Culture and to sponsor scholastic and technological programs and projects that advance the research and preservation of the intellectual and cultural history of African Americans.
