This summer, the BioPark Concerts are getting wild. Introducing a newly revamped Zoo Music series packed with more music, more learning, more activities, and more fun for the entire family! In addition to a touring band on the Bandshell, each evening features a unique theme, bringing different habitats to life with live local music, up-close chats with animal care teams, and interactive discovery stations. It’s not just a concert, it’s a Zoo experience like never before.
Zoo Music gets thrilling with country, Americana, and Southern rock from Holy Roller. This Richmond, Virginia based group has been dominating the east coast and will be grooving the Bandshell Stage at 7 pm. Their powerful, riff-driven sound sets the stage for an exciting summer night.
Venture into the newly reopened Running Wild—the featured area of the night and your gateway to adventure! Discover exciting new additions like bobcats, coatis, and fennec foxes, plus an expanded space for the speedy and spotted cheetahs.
Get hands-on at interactive discovery stations, where you’ll uncover the secrets of camouflage and how these incredible animals have adapted over time to blend into their surroundings. Don’t miss the action: join animal care chats and watch training sessions featuring some of the Zoo’s most awe-inspiring residents, including the jaguar, Andean bear, polar bear, mountain lions, and snow leopard.
As you arrive at Running Wild, you’ll be welcomed by the warm, feel-good Americana sounds of local band Southpaw Duo, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening.
Pack a picnic and head to the Zoo for a memorable night of learning, dancing, and adventure.
