Second Saturday: Woven in Feathers
Free event at Casa San Ysidro

Aric Chopito is one of the few traditional weavers practicing in Zuni Pueblo today. Aric has devoted his time to the passage of knowledge for future generations to carry on. Today his two sons, Andrew and Aden, are award winning traditional artists in their own right, exhibiting displayed works and winning best in show. Most recently, Aden and Andrew Chopito have worked to replicate a 4-foot turkey feather blanket with several thousand feathers; similar to the blankets made by ancestors of present-day Hopi, Zuni, and Rio Grande Pueblos.
