Located near downtown Albuquerque on 4th St. just north of Mountain Rd., Town and Ranch at the LP Warehouse is home to Los Poblanos’ distillery, a tasting room with signature cocktails and new retail space. When Los Poblanos moved their lavender product production to the historic 1940s Heaston’s Town and Ranch Tractor Supplies building, it was a natural fit to move goods straight from production to the shelves. Historic preservation and adaptive reuse are built into Los Poblanos' mission, and they applied the same model in this renovation as with their historic dairy buildings on the farm. The name Town and Ranch is a nod to the original building and celebrates the connection between this urban satellite and the original Los Poblanos Ranch in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Los Poblanos was able to replicate the original neon signage from the 1940s.
Los Poblanos distills lavender essential oil from the fields on-site at the Farm every summer, but the LP Warehouse is where their soaps and oil-based lavender products come together including the popular lavender salve and handmade soaps. Items from their Farm Foods line are processed onsite including salt and herb blends, and heritage flour and wheat berries in collaboration with the Southwest Grains Collective.
Town and Ranch is a downtown destination featuring the new Los Poblanos Botanical Spirits gin, on-site distillation, New Mexican beers, wine and spirits, artisanal market foods and housewares, and their complete line of Los Poblanos lavender apothecary and Farm Foods products. For years, customers have wanted an option to re-fill lavender products and buy in bulk, and this new space will offer eco-friendly options for locals. The Farm Foods section provides a much-needed oasis in the surrounding food desert for downtown residents.
