  • When: Saturdays at 9 am

  • Duration: 1 hour

  • Meeting Point: Meet at the Downtown Growers’ Market at Robinson Park (8th and Central) next to the yellow info booth across from the bike valet at the southeast corner.

Step into a blend of past and present on this tour of Downtown Albuquerque. The journey starts at Robinson Park, bustling with thousands of locals and visitors enjoying the vendors, music, and family-friendly atmosphere of the Downtown Growers’ Market, before making our way east along Central Avenue. Immerse yourself in the buzz of local life as we explore the dynamic mix of contemporary restaurants, cozy cafes, and bustling businesses that have breathed new life into the historic spaces—many dating to the first half of the 20th century.

Together, we’ll discover downtown’s expressive and opinionated murals before reaching our final stop at 1st and Central to learn about the single biggest accelerator of Albuquerque’s growth that arrived in 1880. After the tour concludes, you are encouraged to continue exploring downtown and visit the vendors at the Growers’ Market on your own.
