Overview

Discover the meditative art of origami fabric manipulation with renowned textile artist and costume designer Kristine Berg.

Learn to fold, mark, and stitch fabric into sculptural forms inspired by land, water, and basketry. Using simple tools—a ruler, needle, and thread—you’ll create grids, interpret design charts, and explore a range of stitched patterns. On the second day, you’ll appliqué your favorite design onto a pre-made cushion cover.

With more than fifty years of experience in theatre, film, television, and commercial work, Kristine brings a wide range of artisan skills—including armour making, millinery, sculpting, shibori dyeing, and novelty costume design—to her creative practice.
