SURFACE: Emerging Artists of New Mexico and Childlike Behavior

Harwood Art Center is pleased to present SURFACE: Emerging Artists of New Mexico and Childlike Behavior by Thomas Bowers. SURFACE is an annual juried exhibition, endowed awards and professional development program presented by Harwood Art Center, to support the creative and professional growth of emerging artists and to expand their visibility and viability in our community. This year’s SURFACE exhibition in Harwood’s Hall Gallery features Vanessa Alvarado, Abdiel Beltrán, Lauren Crowder, Eva Gabriella Flynn, Luke Graham, Cortney Metzger, Audrey Montoya, Jade Norris, Sam Snell, Alex Streeper and Diego Villegas.

Thomas Bowers received the SURFACE Harwood Art Center Solo Exhibition Award, in 2021presented annually for artistic excellence, originality of vision and dedication to practice; this year, his awarded solo exhibition will run concurrently in Harwood’s Front Gallery.
