Let your kids experience the age-old tradition of hearing stories while gathered in a cozy circle around the fire. Every Saturday a storyteller will weave a different Pueblo tale, after which our own education team will guide the little ones in an art activity that relates to the story. Our friends at the Pueblo Harvest Cafe will offer hot chocolate for sale throughout. Free with museum admission.


  • Dec. 2nd  Two Stories from the exhibition “Long Ago…” Activity: Make characters from the stories out of toilet paper rolls. 
  • Dec. 9th  Book: “Coyote – Trickster tale from the American Southwest” by Gerald McDermott Activity:  Write your own story through a comic strip or paper puppets. Dec. 16th  Book: “The Earth Under Sky Bear’s Feet: Native American Poems of the Land” by Joseph Bruchac & “Thirteen Moon on Turtle’s Back: A Native American Year of Moons” by Joseph Bruchac and Jonathan London Activity: Making and decorating Christmas ornaments!
