Sensory Friendly Museum and a Movie Night

Overview

Relaxed Nights are evenings for anyone who might get overwhelmed by crowds, sounds, or flashing lights. Or, for individuals who simply enjoy smaller crowds.

These sensory friendly evenings, 5:30-8pm, are for guests of all ages and will feature special, sensory friendly offerings in the museum. Tickets are limited to keep these evenings relaxed.

This month’s Relaxed Nights will feature an indoor star party in our Planetarium. Come by and check out the night sky in our domed theater and learn about what constellations and planets you can see in the night sky.

Then, a truly unique experience..."walk on the Moon." The Museum is one of only a few places to have a giant moon map on loan from NASA. New Mexico has long been involved in studying the geology of the Moon (and using New Mexico's volcanoes as analogs to lunar volcanism). We are the first to have the NASA Moon Map after its appearance on the National Mall in Washington DC to celebrate the Apollo 11 Anniversary.

Tickets are $5 per person. Preregistration required. Go to www.NMnaturalhistory.org for more details and to purchase advanced tickets

Tickets are limited to ensure smaller crowds and are available in advance online.
