Grammy Award-winning singer, Irma Thomas is also known as the Soul Queen of New Orleans and is one of New Orleans' most beloved and iconic entertainers. This powerhouse performer sings warmly with R&B and jazz stylings. In 2008, Thomas was honored as the subject of the prestigious New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival poster. Thomas has a rich, expressive voice with an impressive technical range and is unlike so many other soul divas. Experience this icon’s talent and heart as she takes the stage at the 2018 Route 66 Summerfest.

Ranky Tanky is a Charleston, South Carolina based quintet that performs the timeless music of Gullah culture. “Gullah” comes from West African language and means “a people blessed by God, and the music ranges from “playful game songs to ecstatic shouts, from heartbreaking spirituals to delicate lullabies.” These accomplished artists have come together to revive the "Heartland of American Music". Audiences will be swinging their hips and nodding their heads to their spirited songs.
