Punch & Jewelry Exhibition

Overview
Works of Cristina Diaz-Arntzen and Pam Troutman combine for “Punch and Jewelry,” Amapola Gallery’s Featured Artists exhibition for September.

Diaz-Arntzen creates punch quilts, exciting wall pieces combining unusual fabrics in jewel tones, bits of jewelry and her own finely-drawn compositions into southwestern-themed pieces.  Subjects include Native women, colorful parrots, Day of the Dead figures, Balloon Fiesta and much more. Carefully-chosen fabric is punched into a lightweight prepared board along the lines of Cristina’s drawing.  The finished work is easy to pack and carry or ship for an excellent, creative souvenir or addition to the decor of a special room.

Pam Troutman’s jewelry packs a visual punch all its own.  With a studio art degree under her belt, Troutman creates colorful, one-of-a-kind jewelry using beads, ceramics, bead weaving, metal, semi-precious stones—even paper!  Each finished piece is unique and distinctive.  For 2024, Pam’s focus is animal-themed pendants, but her products include everything from statement necklaces to zipper pulls, earrings to bracelets, a tremendous range of objects.  She truly creates gifts for every occasion, both comfortably wearable and exciting.
