Legends, folklore, ghost stories and history come to life as you depart on an intriguing excursion through 319 years of haunted history. Old Town is the birthplace of Albuquerque, founded in 1706, and for more than three centuries' people have lived, and died, around the Old Town Plaza. The historic buildings and dark alleys conceal the long-forgotten secrets of lost loves, Civil War battles, murders, hangings, and hidden cemeteries.

Professional Tour Guides escort you on a 105-minute, lantern-lit adventure through the scenic Old Town Albuquerque area. You will search for the lost souls of early residents, Civil War phantoms, spooks, specters, wandering apparitions and over one dozen other ghosts who have made Old Town their eternal home. Learn the history and basics of Ghost Hunting as you hear the chilling stories of actual events. Old Town is one of the most actively haunted locations in North America. Residents, employees and tourists have all experienced unexplained phenomena. From actual sightings of full apparitions which seem to vanish impossibly into thin air; to disembodied voices heard in empty buildings; even objects moving mysteriously on their own.

We do NOT attempt to dictate what you should think or believe. Skeptics Welcome! You’ll learn a bit of Old Town’s History, hear the reported Ghost Stories, review the Paranormal Evidence and then decide for yourself the possibility of the existence of Ghosts. This is a fun, old-fashioned, Ghost Story style Tour. We are NOT a Haunted House. No one is jumping out at you - or if they do, they are not with us! We are not a Ghost Hunting or a Paranormal Investigation Tour (Though we do those from time to time). We do not use cheesy magic parlor tricks. We tell you the reported Ghost Stories, we share the past history of that location, and we show you the evidence collected by various Ghost Hunters and Paranormal Investigators during the past 23-years. Ghost Hunting Equipment Rentals are available for use during the Tour.

Most of the Tour locations are operating businesses which are closed by the time we pass by. We do not usually go inside the buildings during the Tour; we reminisce from the outside walkways. Merchants invite you to come inside and take a look during their regular business hours.

This Tour requires a Minimum of TWO people to run and operate. If there are not at least TWO People booked by 6:00pm you will be notified and given the option to reschedule, or you may book a PRIVATE Tour instead, or you will receive a refund - YOUR CHOICE!

All Tours are Pet Friendly! Well behaved leashed, carried or stollered pets are welcome on all Tours. Doggie clean-up bags are available on the Old Town Plaza.

The Ghost Tour is the best in dead entertainment that shares the history & mystery of the heart of the Duke City! We are not overly gory nor super frightening. We are spooky and thought provoking! However, we do deal with some ghastly subject matter (real life murder and mayhem). While we strive for Family Friendly Tours, the real historical information provided during Ghost Tour may not appropriate for children or sensitive guests. Tours are rated PG-13 and Children attend at the Parent's discretion. Children under the age of 18 may attend our PUBLIC 12pm & 8pm Tours but are NOT allowed on our Public 10pm Tours. (All ages may attend any PRIVATE Tour.) (PRIVATE TOURS and our FAMILY NIGHT Tours are specially priced and the BEST option for those with children.)

If you are bringing children, they must behave and be under parental or adult (18 or older) supervision for the duration of the tour.

We have a "Well Behaved Child Policy": If Children are disruptive to the tour we will ask you to take them aside until they have calmed down. If a child continues to be disruptive we will charge the credit card on file double for the child. It is at the Ghost Host's discretion to determine if a Child is being disruptive! (PRIVATE TOURS and our FAMILY NIGHT Tours are specially priced and the BEST option for those with children.)

​The Ghost Tour is not appropriate if you are intoxicated. Please stay at the bar if you have been drinking and are intoxicated at tour time. If you are too intoxicated to drive, you are too intoxicated to safely walk the streets of historic Old Town. If you insist on taking the tour and are disruptive to the other guests our Ghost Host will ask you and your party to leave. You will not receive a refund. If you refuse to leave other measures will be taken. If you are intoxicated at tour time, please, do everyone including yourself a favor and enjoy the spirits at the local bars.

All sales are FINAL, and NO REFUNDS are offered for any reason. However, you can attend another time. Tour Tickets are valid for TWO YEARS.

By the participation in any of our Tours or Special Events, the participant as well as any heirs or assignees agree to hold harmless and release, both now and in perpetuity, AbqTours and its Guides, agents, employees, contractors, representatives and/or locations from any and all liability, injury, accident, death, harm, financial loss or incidental damages or any other circumstance arising from or that may occur during, immediately preceding or following or is in any way related to participation in said activity, whether or not due to omission, negligence, incompetence, failure or any other reason on the part of or by AbqTours.
