Nuestros Ninos, Su Arte y Sus LibrosOur Children, Their Art and Their Books Exhibit Opening

The Placitas Community Library’s Art and Children’s Services Committee is presenting an art exhibition created by the students of the Placitas Elementary School. Art teacher, Adam Sauers has been working with and encouraging his students to create art projects reflecting the culture, history, and landscape of New Mexico. You will see a variety of media including landscape paintings and sugar skull paintings to represent the dia de los muertos, clay sculptures, and more!

This exhibit is inspired by the New Mexican holiday of Dia de los ninos y de los libros. Therefore, each artist and every child who attends the reception will be able to select a new book, courtesy of the library.

The public is invited to attend the artists’ reception on Saturday, April 22 from 1-3 pm, and to view the exhibit during library hours.
