Overview

Become immersed in history and visit the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History after hours for Nuclear After Dark, an outdoor evening event on Friday, October 6th. On this evening, the museum will welcome visitors to enjoy an outdoor screening of the History Channel's Modern Marvels: The Manhattan Project. Guests will enjoy music from a DJ, local food trucks, a brewery, and access to the museum's exhibits after hours.

Doors open at 5:30 pm, and the movie will begin at dark. Modern Marvels: The Manhattan Project is a 45-minute production from the History Channel covering the super-secret atomic bomb project during World War II. This movie will be projected on the back of the museum to be enjoyed under the stars and among the iconic airplanes in Heritage Park. Guests are welcome to enjoy the local cuisine provided by some of Albuquerque's finest food trucks and Bombs Away Brewery while enjoying music from a local DJ. Guests are also invited to tour the museum at their leisure.

This special event is $15 per person and $10 for museum members. Tickets are available in advance by clicking the button below, or admissions will be taken at the door on the evening of October 6th. For more information, please call 505-245-2137, extension 103.

Please leave all four-legged friends at home (assistance and service dogs are always welcome), and no outside food or drink will be allowed into the event. You can bring lawn chairs for comfort, but the museum will provide seating for the 45-minute showing of the Manhattan Project.
