Overview

One workshop will be held in the morning and one in the evening. Enroll in both days of the workshop or only a single day. You can also mix morning and evening sessions to fit your schedule. Course materials include a binder with maps, drawing and graph paper and field notebook. Pre-registration is recommended since the number of seats is limited. Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided.

Workshop Description
The New Mexico Natural History Workshop will provide a thorough introduction to the following topics:

Ecoregions of New Mexico
*Important landscape features (mountain ranges, lava flows, rivers, geologic structure etc)
*Biological diversity including descriptions of the state’s plants and animals
*Google Earth tutorial and tour of New Mexico
*Citizen Science and useful Natural History resources
*Observations using Microscope and Hand Lens
