Overview
Teej is a joyful Hindu festival in Nepal where women dress in vibrant red, sing traditional songs, and celebrate sisterhood and devotion. A key part of the festival is fasting, where many women go an entire day without food or even water as a symbol of love, prayer, and spiritual strength. The celebration honors marital harmony, family well‑being, and women’s cultural traditions.
