Join us at the Sandia Mountain Natural History Center for activities, night sky telescope viewing, and more on International Observe the Moon Night!
Before the sun sets, join us for self-guided hikes and a presentation on New Mexico raptors led by Laura McCann from Raptors of New Mexico Foundation. Then, NMMNHS Space Science Director Jim Greenhouse will lead a talk on the opposition of Saturn and upcoming lunar eclipse on September 17. Once the sun is down, explore the night sky with help from our new automated telescope that projects the cosmos onto a nearby monitor.
About International Observe the Moon Night: InOMN brings the world together in studying and appreciating our beautiful natural satellite.
