Intermediate Knitting with Karen

Day 1 CABLES
Learn to knit basic left and right twisted cables as well as a three-strand braided cable
Day 2 KNITTING STRIPES with MULTIPLE COLORS
Learn to change colors and “run colors” invisibly up the side of your project
Day 3 INCREASES & DECREASES
Learn various styles of increasing and decreasing stitches to shape items
Day 4 SHORT ROWS
Learn to knit short rows which are used to create curved edges for shawls and sweater yokes.

Pre-requisites for intermediate class:
Must be comfortable with cast-on, knit and purl stitches, and use of stitch markers.
Materials:
Bring your own yarn and needles. Light-colored yarn makes for easier learning.
Two or three colors of yarn for stripes work.
Cable needles will be at first class.

A written pattern will be provided at each class … learn to read what you are knitting!
