First Friday ARTScrawl. Citywide Albuquerque ARTScrawl occurs on the first Friday of every month, this month it includes the following:
- Tortuga Gallery(901 Edith Blvd. SE) Opening Reception 6-8pmTortuga is hosting to Re-Birth: Creative Works of the Rainbow Artists. Each of the 22 artists have responded to the concept of rebirth with visual work.
- Sumner & Dene(517 Central NW) Reception and Silent Auction 5-8pm. Sumner & Dene is honored to present Jennifer Cavan & Reg Loving New Mexico Landscapes. Both painters are known for their bright colorful New Mexico landscapes. The 13th Annual “Little House” Silent Auction to benefit OFFCenter Community Arts Project will be upstairs.
- OFFCenter Community Arts Project @ Sumner & Dene(517 Central Ave NW) Join OFFCenter at Sumner & Dene gallery to silently bid on over 100 “Little Houses”, whimsical mini masterpieces made by local favorite notable and emerging artists. 100% of the proceeds benefit OFFCenter’s free arts and music studio, education and selling opportunities for over 3,500 people of all ages each year. ***
- Harwood Art Center(1114 7th Street NW) Opening Reception 6-8pm, Artist Talks 5:30 Natalie Voelker: Fortitude – Portraits of the Perseverant is a collection of large-scale portrait paintings depicting the complexity of human experience through the lens of the intimate, personal, and specific. James Black: Many Faces features the artist’s digital caricatures which focus on the people he sees daily in Albuquerque
