To celebrate Women's History Month, our March lecture will feature a lively panel discussion on the rich history of women associated with Santa Fe’s Spanish Colonial Arts Society. To mark the centennial of the SCAS in 2025, the talk will explore how women have played a critical role in this important New Mexican cultural institution, from the time of writer - and SCAS founder - Mary Austin in 1925 through to the present day. The panel will be composed of SCAS's Nueveo Mexicano Heritage Arts museum curator, founders, and other specialists, in discussion about the women who have contributed to the rich and varied history of SCAS. Featured speakers include curators Jana Gottshalk and Robin Farwell Gavin, among others (to be confirmed).
Please park on the south side of the property, following the signs to the front lawn entrance.
