Dr. Armin Rembe Lecture Series: Artful Living: Georgia O’Keeffe and Modern Design

Join us this fall for a deep dive into Georgia O’Keeffe’s iconic interior design with Giustina Renzoni, Curator of Historic Properties at O’Keeffe’s historic home in Abiquiú, NM. The current exhibit at the O’Keeffe Museum Welcome Center, “Artful Living: Georgia O’Keeffe and Modern Design,” is open through March 2025 and showcases the artist’s unique aesthetic and how it is reflected in her domestic spaces. Renzoni’s talk will focus on how elements of O’Keeffe’s style - including furniture, textiles, and homewares - combined to create an inspiring environment for the artist to live and work in.

Giustina Renzoni joined the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in 2018. As the Curator of Historic Properties, she oversees tours, programs, and exhibitions connected to Georgia O’Keeffe’s two historic homes. Previously, Giustina has held various museum positions at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, Denver Art Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. In addition, as a contemporary art curator, Giustina has organized exhibitions highlighting up-and-coming local artists for galleries in Boston and Colorado. She received her BA in Cultural Anthropology from Northeastern University, Boston, and an MA in Art History from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

This event will be held in La Quinta Cultural Center. Please park on the south side of the property, following the signs to the front lawn entrance. Experience a culturally rich day at La Quinta by joining us for afternoon tea before the evening lecture. Guests are invited to visit the Library Bar at La Quinta between 4:30 and 5:30 PM before the talk begins at 5:30 PM.
