New Mexico Symphonic Chorus will perform its Cinco de Mayo concert with enchanting music from Ariel Ramírez, Emma Lou Diemer and Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel.
Joining the Chorus at Albuquerque's First United Methodist Church will be musicians from the NM Philharmonic, pianist Daniel Cummings and soloists Kevin Chavez and Colton Hardy, tenors, and Richard Powdrell, baritone.
The program includes the stunning "Missa Criolla" by Argentinian composer Ramírez, as well as the endearing "Three Madrigals" by Diemer and the delightful "Gartenlieder," Op. 3 by Mendelssohn.
Those purchasing tickets at the door should arrive at least 30 minutes early.
