The Chicharra Poetry Slam Festival is one of the largest poetry slam festivals in the United States. A multi-day celebration of poetry, performance, and community featuring slam competitions, readings, workshops, open mics designed to amplify marginalized voices, and special events across Albuquerque. With over 30 events and more than 80 poets from across the country, Chicharra brings together local and national voices for a weekend of powerful storytelling and connection.
