Preserving Winter: Seasonal Change and Crafts
While it may seem like there isn't much going on in the natural world during the winter, you might be surprised by how much is really happening! Join Liz Douglass-Gallagher of the Rio Grande Phenology Trail to learn about the science of seasonal change, with a special focus on plants and animals during winter. The presentation will be followed by a workshop led by Kobi Weaver where you will make a piece of botanical resin jewelry to take home with you. For all ages.
This event is part of the Botanic Garden Workshop Series, which takes place on the fourth Saturday of each month. Discover the wonder of our natural world through workshops that will engage your senses and connect you to your local environment. The workshops cover a range of topics, art, plants, insects and gardening techniques for participants of all levels of knowledge and interests. Workshops are two hours long and are taught by local experts and enthusiasts.
