Start your day discovering the ancient petroglyphs carved into the lava rocks at Petroglyph National Park. These amazing images were carved into the volcanic rock of Boca Negra Canyon hundreds of years ago. Next, we will head over to the famous Albuquerque Balloon Museum, to see the fascinating history of ballooning in America including interactive displays and actual world record setting balloons. Then it is off to Coronado Monument in nearby Bernallilo, the original home of Kuaua Pueblo. You will see ruins of this ancient pueblo including the only Kiva discovered with artwork painted on the walls. These original artworks date back as far as the 1300’s. Coronado and his conquistadors spent time in this area while searching for the seven cities of gold.  One last adventure as we drive around the mountain to the top of Sandia Crest to view Albuquerque from over 10,500 ft.
