Overview

In this class, students will create a wall hanging containing plain weave, twills, basket weave and a tapestry weave.

Students will learn how to:

Wind warps and warp (dress) a table or small floor loom.
Read a draft.
Calculate warp and wefts.
Use different fibers in the weaving process.
Learn appropriate finishing techniques.
Students will also weave double weave samples to include: Interlocking double weave, Double width, Tubular, and two layers of cloth (separately woven).
