Get ready for the upcoming Annular Eclipse!
Attend a pre-eclipse talk at the Museum to find out what to expect and how to view it safely.

The following dates: All are free with museum or planetarium admission

Thursday September 14, 1-1:50pm in the Planetarium.
Wednesday, September 20, 1-1:50pm in the Planetarium.
Saturday September 30 ,4-4:50pm in the Planetarium.
Thursday, October 5, 5:30pm in the Planetarium

Oct 9-13. Every day from noon to 3pm. Eclipse family afternoons. Hands-on activities, eclipse planetarium show, solar viewing, and short talk by a guest NASA solar expert. Free with museum or planetarium admission

Oct. 14. View the annular eclipse from the Museum grounds and inside through monitors linked to our own observatory. Before and after the eclipse the museum will offer hands-on activities, real time images of the eclipse around the country from NASA, and continual planetarium presentations. All free with regular museum admission. Note: no regular planetarium shows scheduled for that day.
