Overview

The New Mexico Bach Society presents the complete St. John Passion BWV 245 with soloists, chorus and orchestra. The St. John Passion has not been performed in its entirety in Santa Fe or Albuquerque for over a decade. NMPAS is excited to offer this program to in-person audiences in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, and to live-stream the Santa Fe performance from our Santa Fe venue on Friday evening, May 10, 2024 beginning at 7 pm. Artistic Director Franz Vote, a veteran of the Metropolitan Opera, Bayreuth Wagner Festival, and conductor of the Seattle RING in 2000-2001, among many others, leads the all-professional ensemble.
